Bezzera Matrix MN 1 Group Semi-Automatic Home Espresso Machine

Bezzera is an Italian company known for producing elegant espresso machines with complete modern functions. The brand has been synonymous with superb quality and reliability.

It has been over 110 years when the company produced its first espresso machine. Since then, it has been manufacturing professional and semi-professional coffee machines. All phases of production, from assembly to final inspection, are carried out entirely at the Rosate factory near Milan, Italy.

Matrix MN

The Matrix model is an innovation in the world of semi-automatic espresso machines. It combines traditional "LEVER" technology with advanced software and electronics. You can control the double water heater system, as well as customize the body colors, through the 3.5" touch display.

Lever Technology

The Matrix MN has a traditional manual lever unit where it controls the start and end of the coffee dispensing process. You start by pushing the lever upwards and stop by lowering it once the desired quantity of coffee has been dispensed into the cup.

2 PID Thermostats

The machine is equipped with 2 PID thermostats which allow for adjusting of the water temperature for brewing coffee. This ensures optimal thermal stability in the range of 88 to 96°C.

Touch Display

Bezzera equips the Matrix with a beautiful 3.5″ LED touch display that allows the user to program a number of functions with ease. Adjusting the temperature between the two boilers is crystal clear, as well as checking the water levels. You can also adjust the color of the signature LED body panels on the Matrix in the settings of the touch display. 

Water Connection

The hydraulic system of the Matrix is powered by a rotary pump and can use a 4-liter internal water tank or be connected to the water supply.

Two separate PID’s control the thermostats for the .45 L coffee boiler and 1L water/steam boiler. You can even program through the touch display which boiler you’d prefer to heat up first! All controlled by its 3.5″ touch display.

  • E61 Grouphead

The E61 grouphead ensures consistent water stability. Hot water circulates from the boiler through the grouphead and back. The result? The grouphead and your portafilter stay nice and hot, especially important to get a nice shot of espresso. A lever next to the grouphead easily activates the pump to draw water through the coffee grinds.

  • Multi-Directional Steam and Hot Water Wand

Allows for more flexibility. Joystick controls for steam and hot water wands give instant on/off operation as opposed to knobs that you must turn clockwise / counter-clockwise. In addition, each has a rubber cover to prevent fingers from burning.

  • Wooden Elements

Less plastic is always a bonus in our eyes. The Matrix is designed with wooden handles on not only the portafilter but the joysticks and lever as well.

  • Three-Way Solenoid Valve

Allows quick removal of portafilter after espresso extraction by relieving the pressure built up in the grouphead. The result is a dry puck of coffee you can easily knock out of the portafilter.

  • Rotary Vane Pump and Motor

Produces a quieter extraction than a vibratory vane pump. Situated underneath tank/reservoir, so adjustments can be made from underneath the espresso machine.

    20 AMP plug will continue to be used on Matrix and Duo 110 Volt version because the safety standards do not allow to use an undersized plug compared with the power consumption reported in the machine data label.

    We will add a piece of advice into the machine box where we explain to the final user that it is possible to use the machine with a 15 Amp plug adapter only setting a boiler priority.
    We would like to inform you that, according to our tests, the major difference in the machine performance, setting or not the boiler priority, is in the warm-up period
    We faced not big performance differences in the coffee thermostability and water/steam services, in the normal machine use, giving a priority to a coffee or steam boiler

    15 AMP plug and cable are designed to be used with 15 AMP in a continuous way and they admit pick of current until around 20 AMP. During our tests we have recorded 17,76 AMP (as maximum current) only in the 3:20 minutes of the warm-up time (when both boilers heat up together).
    During the coffee brewing, the service boiler heating element is disabled and when the machine is not used, thanks to the PID controls, only impulses of current are given to the heating elements.

    Warranty

    Almost all machines come with a free, 12-month manufacturer's warranty. Please contact us at 1-888-908-2875 if you have any questions regarding warranty for your specific machine.

    The warranty covers manufacturer defects and does not cover general wear and tear (grinder burrs, plastic parts, filters, gaskets, etc). The warranty is voided by not using a proper water filter which may causing water or scale build-up damage to the machine. It is also voided by Acts of God (floods, fire, weather), using the product outside its intended use (for example, using home machines in a commercial setting or vice versa), and by not performing necessary maintenance, preventative maintenance, faulty installations, power surges or shortages, shipping damage, or external factors causing damage.

    Repairs done outside of Cafe Last's service network violate the warranty, and Cafe Last will not be held responsible for any charges incurred.

    Damages and Issues

    Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. 

    Damages must be reported within 24 hours of delivery. Many of our machines are tested before being shipped out, per the industry standard. Your order may have water leakage, fingerprints, and other signs of light usage due to testing. These do not count as damages and are not eligible for refunds. Additionally, these are not refurbished machines, unless otherwise noted.

    Exchanges 

    The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

    You will be responsible for the cost of returning the item, and need to provide a valid tracking number. Please reach out to us to see if an exchange is possible. 

    Returns

    To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. Returns are up to the sole discretion of the manufacturer and Cafe Last.

    To start a return, you can contact us at support@cafelast.com. If your return is accepted, we will send you instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. 

    We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. Please note there is a 15-25% restocking fee plus all other charges incurred in the order process by us (such as freight to and from, service/installation, or any other costs that are similar) for all refunds depending on manufacturer.

    If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.

      If you wish to cancel your order, please email us at support@cafelast.com or call us at 1-888-908-2875 as soon as possible. There is a 3.65% cancellation fee on all orders. No exceptions.

      For special order items, cancellations may or may not be accepted after the order is placed. If cancellations are accepted, then the cancellation terms or cancellation fee is up to the sole discretion of Cafe Last and the manufacturer. Special order items typically take between 4-6 weeks to be manufactured or shipped unless otherwise stated. If a cancellation were to occur for a special-order before the product gets delivered, or during this 4-6 week period, a cancellation may not be accepted. 

      Special order items are typically commercial machinery or other custom-made products. Please contact support@cafelast.com or call 1-888-908-2875 to confirm if a product is considered a special order, as it may not be explicitly stated on our site.
